Bathroom Reveal Part II.

Welcome to our new fresh bathroom.  It's not the ideal bathroom, but for about 3 nights work, a little elbow grease, and about $60 its transformed.

You may remember what it looked like previously, here's the post on it, and here is a refresher:

Horrible, bad, and boring!  Typical older house problems, small space, a bit dark, etc. Oh and that tile, ahh, my eye balls!

I did this entire project by myself, which is a real conquest in my book. Normally we do all projects together, even if its a minimal amount of help, or consulting.  For this Eric never even picked up a brush, or took a look till it was complete.  Girl power!

I painted the walls and trim a fresh bright white (Behr's base white).  A big improvement from the mossy green it was when we moved in, and the Velveeta yellow that I initially tried out.  No other color seemed to go with the mix-matched brown tiles, or had the brightening power of white.

I totally re-accessorized, on the cheap of course!  I bought a shag-a-delic white rug, bathrooms are tough on rugs, but I couldn't pass this glam one for $10.  The white one took the place of a 'seen better days' blue stripe rug, (see the old and new in the first two pictures.)

I purchased some cute grey towels (we now have matching towels!), which pull in some of the yellow from the new curtains.  New curtains mean no more holding up a tea towel with random bathroom products to cover the window, we're classy, I know.   I thrifted these curtains for $1, they are Laura Ashley I believe.  (I actually thrifted these for one of my girlfriends, but she didn't answer right away, so I kept them for myself.  I'm a bad friend, sorry girl!)

I added some free flowers from our yard, because you know how much I like a deal, in a thrifted silver creamer.  I thrifted the creamer for 70 cents a couple of weeks ago, I think it could have many uses.  The pink flowers match with my pink hand soap, in an ikea dispenser, purchased for $3 before they raised the price to $8.  I'll prob end up changing the flowers to something more long lasting, like a little greenery, or something that needs less tending.

No more random shower curtain, I found this linen-like textured one at a local discount store for $7.99.  (Bad shot, but I wanted to give the full view).

There she is, fresh as she'll ever be.
