Eric packed us a really good picnic lunch with pb&js, crackers and hummus, cashews, apples, and la croix's- we stopped on a little rock island to eat.

The 9 mile kayak tour seemed like a good idea, especially since we had been scheduled to go on an 11 mile trip earlier this summer (it unfortunately was cancelled).  When we got on the shuttle and everyone else got off at the 6 mile tour and we were the only people left for the long trip, we got a little worried.  In the end we came out with blisters but finished in a solid 3 hours, beating the 4-5 hour estimated finish time.  It ended up being a super fun end of summer activity, we're thinking of going again this month when it's still warm but not quite 90° any longer.
