Makin' Jelly.

Remember those wild concord grapes I picked when visiting my parents a couple of weekends ago?
We made it into grape jelly!
This 'squeezo' machine that my grandma sent was the perfect tool for separating the seeds from the jelly after it was cooked.  The jelly, with seeds, goes in the top and twirls through the cylinder sieve- seeds/pulp comes out one end and pure jelly out the other.  Genius!  This was hers from years and years ago, but you can still buy them on Amazon-(thanks grandma for saving us $200!).
We got five pint jars of jelly, two have already been opened or gifted.  The jelly turned out to be such a beautiful dark purple color.  My grandma also sent over a big box of old pint jars- I love how they are all different.  This first one is an 'Atlas' jar, and the last one is a Kerr which they don't make any longer.  A little touch of history with your jelly.

Not too bad for some free grapes.
