Cast Iron Clean Up.

.
Before and after.
I've been really interested in all sorts of old school practices, such as brewing, fermenting, and homesteading.  After researching the chemicals in nonstick pans you realize how gross cooking all those chemicals into your food is.  There are various other options but the one that really got my attention is switching to all cast iron.  The pans stand the test of time and look great hanging in your kitchen. You can thrift/etsy/ebay cast iron but the prices vary immensely, thrifting is the cheapest so I'm going to stick with that option.

I got this pan at the thrift store for $2.99 and followed this 'clean up' method from, of course, YouTube.  It was a lot more work than I thought (tons of scrubbing for that much rust) but it looks really great.  Starting a new collection now.
