Cave City

We took a little trip down to one of our favorite state parks this weekend. After camping and spelunking we decided to stop by one of the local shops on our way home.

This particular shop drew me in by the spectacular signage out front. We were the only people in sight and the amount of stuff seemed to go on forever. As I was taking pictures I kept imagining a cranky old man coming outside and saying "son, quit all that picture-taking!" To my surprise the shop was run by the sweetest elderly couple you could ever meet. They have been collecting, and picking, since they were kids.

We were just about to leave and I spotted this great side table all the way in the back. Being a collectors' antique shop, everything was priced rather high but I was stunned at $10 price tag of this vintage-modern piece. It looks as if somebody sat on it, but that is an easy fix...

I've been to plenty of home I could drop that off in. What am I saying it could work perfectly in my house.
