Welcome.

Welcome to The Belvedere! We’re two twenty something’s with a love for interior spaces with a little old world charm.  We have been wanting to start a blog to conical our many DIYs, flea market finds, and interior ideas, since last year.  Seeing as we just moved into a 3 bedroom house from a 1 bedroom apartment, its only appropriate we finally get on the blog train. So here it is, welcome to our new home.

Most people wouldn't be able to see around the terrible wall colors, weird light fixtures, and dirty blinds; but we see potential!  We walked in and both gave the 'look', like 'this is it but play it cool'. Most people would also say we are crazy for even attempting to put work into a house we are only renting.  We have an exceptionally cool landlord and we want to make every space our own (on the cheap of course!) After all we plan to live here for quite a while.

This place fit the bill exactly for what was on the 'wish list'- bright, airy, open, filled with character.  The main floor is perfect for entertaining, and we plan to do a lot of it! 

The dining room is off of the kitchen and is open to the living room- a perfect flow for parties! 

The kitchen is outfitted with granite, stainless steel, and tons of cabinet space.  It also has a horrible blood red color with matching plaid curtains-yuck!
