Recently a pottery groupon came up, BYOB style. My girlfriend and I went to the open wheel class, bottle of wine in tow, and made a fun Friday night out of it.

They don't really give you much creative freedom, but I sweet talked the guy into putting my piece into some sort of fast dryer machine. At the end of class it was stiff enough that I could carve into it and punch holes out- I'm going to use it as a hanging planter. In a couple of weeks, she'll be ready for pick up.
