Repurposed globe lamp

Monday, January 23, 2012

I was excited to see what I could do with the globes we picked up this weekend so down to the workshop they went. They are made of heavy duty plastic which I think is nicer then glass because they won't break if they fall and they are much lighter, perfect for hanging. A quick spit-shine and they are looking good as new.

This little can-light has been sitting in the basement forever. My mom bought it for me at a thrift store for 2$ a long time ago and we could never figure out what to do with it. I am glad I held on to it all this time because one of the globes fits perfectly on top of it, hows that for luck.

For about 3$ it is a nice little lamp that gives off a great quality of light, plus it looks good on the new table.
