Summer Journal: Farm Sitting.

Tuesday, July 2, 2013

A weekend or two ago, on our one year anniversary weekend, we did some farm sitting for Eric's Aunt.
We took care of the chickens- their coop is so cool, its like a tree house.
We gathered a dozen eggs right from under one of the girls' butts.
I got some sun with a book and gorgeous 360 view of the rolling hills, while Eric checked in on the ducks and took a hike.
We watered the giant garden.
And took a little garden farm-sitting tax consisting of beets, cilantro, cauliflower, jalapeno, and peppers.
With the garden veggies we made a beet, tofu, noodle dish with homemade ginger beer cocktails.

It was a great weekend to just spend time together and be outside enjoying some beautiful weather- a nice way to ring in one year of marriage.
