Since we now live in the 'country' I feel like the trashing picking is way better- less competition. Since the weather has been nice the trash picking has also been nice.
A couple of days ago we trash picked this 6x10 rug. With a little cleaning this baby is in great shape. For now its going to go on the screened in porch- when we rip out the astro turf carpet this spring it will be really cool out there. Later when we replace the ugly bedroom carpet with wood floors it will be great in there with a fresh white bed. Free is even better than my $8 flea market rug.
Then while out on a new years walk we saw these boxes with the sign 'Free classic turntable + speaker- for collector'. We decided to carry them home, although after half a mile or so we realized they were too heavy so we went to get the car. The 'turntable' needs a little work but the speakers are very nice.
The two wooden speakers have rust and olive stitching running throughout the brown on the front. They look like new and will be great on some book shelves for extra surround sound.
Looking forward to spring when trash picking season is in full swing.
