Free is my speciality. Free, cheap, a steal- I like it all. I'm no stranger to thrift stores and trash picking- but lately I'm taking free to a whole new level. Exhibit A:
Yep, sticks in a vase. Weird? Maybe, but I totally like it. Hence the fact that they are starting to pop up all over the house. (You may have seen it before here)
Eric thinks its dumb, and says that I, 'pick the worst looking sticks'. (And I will admit these ones do kind of hinder switching the light on and off, ha.) On Saturday, when he was in manic cleaning mode, a few of my sticks 'disappeared'. Hmm, weird! Can't hold me back- we have plenty of trees willing to sacrifice their limbs in the name of home design.
My free outdoors design isn't just limited to sticks.
Giant pine cones I picked up on family vacation this year, good for fall decorating and adding a little texture to your table top.
They are extremely large, and pre-filled with sap and pine needles- great!
Mini pine cones picked up over thanksgiving break while hiking off our turkey.
Mini little guys- all for free!
Driftwood from summer vacation.
And of course my gorgeous and beautiful magnolia clipping. What can I say free is for me!
