 Knocking out another one of my 'New Years Goals' and 'Summer Must Dos', my mother in law and I took a canning class a couple of weekends ago.  We're planning to can the extra tomatoes from our gardens and now feel much more prepared after the class.  There are quite a few tools you need to do the job right, which my grandma-who claimed last year was her last summer canning- generously offered over all of her tools.  Although not completely necessary, I couldn't pass up this canning basket at the thrift store this weekend.  It is a little janky, but I kind of like it better that way- for a $1 who cares.
